A traditional pub in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park
NEW INN
Welcome to theNew Inn, a traditional inn found in the village of Bwlch. The Inn is the last surviving hostelry in the village and is run by Neil and Sarah and Rocky the pub dog.
TheNew Innis a small, cozy pub serving both the community and visitors to the area. It is dog friendly and muddy boots and children are made welcome.
There is a roaring fire to warm your chills on cold days and an outdoor area if you wish to take advantage of our sunny days in Wales –they are far more common than you would think!
Beacons Backpackers
Attached to the pub is The Beacons Backpackers, bunkhouse style accommodation, an ideal base for walking, cycling or exploring other local activities.
Whether you are visiting theNew Innfor a homemade pie and a pint of real ale at the end of a days hiking, staying with us or just passing through, we hope your experience will be enjoyable.
Great Rooms
The accommodation at the Beacons backpackers can be hired by the room or as sole occupancy.
We had 10 of us across 2 rooms for a walking weekend and the owners of the pub really looked after us. A well stocked bar, excellent home made pies and curries for evening meals and clean dormers meant we had a great time.
